sectionals, kurt hummel, screencap, heart

A Puck/Kurt fanmix I made at about eleven o'clock last night. There's no accompanying story, but if you follow me for the lyric samples, the story kind of tells itself...

If You Can Afford Me
If you want me, I’m not a piece of ass
A one-night stand, a storage shed
I think you better walk by tonight

Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t)
Something’s telling me to leave, but I won’t
’Cause I’m damned if I do ya, damned if I don’t

The things we think might be the same, but I won’t ask for more
It’s just not me to wear it on my sleeve

Over My Head (Cable Car)
I’d rather run away than stay and see the smoke
And who’s still standing when it clears

I know they’ve all been talking ’bout me
I can hear them whisper, and it makes me feel there must be something wrong with me

Once Upon A Time, James Snyder (from bare)
You said “Don’t look down”
And then I did and now you’re lost above me

Whataya Want From Me
There might have been a time when I would let you slip away,
I wouldn’t even try, but I think you could save my life

Leave the Pieces
You’re not making up your mind
It’s killing me and wasting time--
I need so much more than that

Into the sea of waking dreams, I follow without pride
Nothing stands between us here,
And I won’t be denied

What About Now
What if you’re making me all that I was meant to be?
What if our love never went away?
What if it’s lost behind words we could never find?
Baby before it’s too late, what about now?

The Great Escape
Let’s get drunk and ride around
And make peace with an empty town
We can make it right

Come To My Window
Nothing fills the blackness that has seeped into my chest
I need you in my blood, I am forsaking all the rest
Just to reach you

You see right through me and I can’t hide
I’m naked around you, and it feels so right

I’ll Be There For You
I’ll be the water when you get thirsty, baby
When you get drunk, I’ll be the wine

You Found Me
Here we are, and that’s pretty far
When you think of where we’ve been

Good Enough
And I’m still waiting for the rain to fall, poor real life down on me,
’Cause I can’t hold on to anything this good enough
Am I good enough for you to love me, too?

I tried to embed an online playlist, but that failed, so here's a link to the playlist: http://www.playlist.com/playlist/19062020107/standalone
Except for 'Once Upon a Time.' Bare is still a fairly new musical, so I couldn't find an mp3 of the recording, but here's a YouTube video of a very good singer performing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uX1mKaG86b0
  • Listened to it. AMAZING!

    • Wow... my fangirlness suddenly seems shockingly inadequate. Lolz, I'm good. I have the whole album(s) on iTunes, but the website that I used to make the playlist only accepted links from other sites, and I couldn't find one in time. I was getting frustrated, so I just gave up and found a video instead.

And NO NO NO their relationship does NOT end the same way! In my opinion, this is the song Puck wouuld be thinking of on whether or not to go public or not, and he DOES. 'Cause he's not Catholic, so he's not as totally stressed as Jason... sigh.

setos_puppy wrote a fic a while back where the Gleeks did a production of Bare and Kurt and Puck were cast as Peter and Jason. It wasn't quite the same because they were just acting the parts, but still... it's what got me interested. :)

    • I <3 you for gracing my journal with the abject awesomeness that is your icon. I should really join a RENT community on lj...
